Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS comedy Mom. Calvano is from California and began her career in competitive gymnastics. However, she later decided to focus on an acting career. Her first appearance on screen was on the screen in 2010 with an Episode of CBS's 'NCIS. The big screen debut came a year later in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. She was one of the best young actors in the industry over the next few several years. As a result of her appearance in "NCIS," she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance on a Television Series Guest-starring Young Actress 11-15 in 2011. She was also nominated in 2013 for an Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest actor in the comedy series of Disney XD 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a role in the cast of Mom for its first three years and appeared at least a few times in the fourth. Calvano's role being a rising star in Mom was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is awarded to female actresses.
